In my passionate love of the angelic realm, I am struck by the slightly inaccessible, predominantly Catholic vibe of many angelic writings and speakers. While I LOVE Michael, Raphael, Uriel, Gabriel (these ancient and archetypal energies sustain me!) I keep wondering, where the angels are for today's woman? The 30-something year old's posse of power that you can bring around with you anywhere and know you are *covered*.
Where are the bold and saucy angels? The sex angels? The sass angels? The empress angels? The shake your bootie angels? The fashionista angels? The dance floor angels? The dj angels? The galactic ascension angels? The cooking angels? The internet and computer angels? Super jive angels? And... I could create a list a zillion types long. I sense that the ancient angelic images long for a makeover!
My sense of creativity and longs for a technicolor angel vocabulary which blends the quantum awareness of today with the timeless essence of the universal connectedness of all things. I crave archetypes which blend the old and new in comic ways which delight the senses. Let's see what unfolds...
