Here I am at Esalen Retreat Center in Big Sur, basking in the glow of life. I've been here all weekend doing a kirtan retreat with Jai Uttal. What a wonderful escape from what I thought was my life~ to my real life!
My time here has been otherworldly...
~Singing out a zilliion names of Gods and Goddesses in loving praise for being alive in this magical world... getting chills on my arms listening to Jai call out and celebrate the divine
~ Soaking 6-9 hours a day in the phenomenal tubs overlooking the ocean, crashing waves, rocks, seaweed and sky
~ Stargazing.. connecting with my intergalactic sisterhood of light in the sky for downloads
~ Long conversations with "lightBliss", asking Her to reveal herself fully to me and what work she would like of me
~ Facilitating conversations between my higher self and Kramer's higher self, again, while percolating in mineral laden restorative waters...
~Talking to my dreams! Embracing all the squished creative ideas I have had inside of me and playing with possibilities in my mind
~ Amazing conversations with remarkable people from all walks of life ... shiney people like me! Neat connections with new girlfriends. Yay!
~Conversations with my inner critics... realizing I can send them on divine missions to be useful when they act up! I sent one out to talk to the whales and bring me back some esoteric brilliance to download into my DNA. I sent another one to Hawaii to hang out on Ke'ee beach and bring me back the vibe.
~ Being nourished by phenomenal, organic whole foods which defy the limitations of the word delicious
~ Basking in the wonder of flocks of monarch butterflies, flying through the air like magical faeries
~ Playing with crayons and colors in my new SARK book about embracing your creative dreams while in a quaint oceanside Art Barn
I haven't been here in years. Esalen is much more sophisticated than Wilbur, and has it's own unique vibe. It is SUPER social here-- not the place for me to come to be in silence with myself, for sure. It is almost like a meeting of the minds here where remarkable conversations are happening everywhere... in the tubs, at dinner, on the lawn. Very workshop oriented, of course, as opposed to Wilbur really being a location about true retreat-away-from-everything. I am delighted to have found yet another mecca for nurturing hot springs and wonderful people! Well... I'm off to go read and soak! Bye for now!
Oh my! What an extraordinary blog.. and oh, so inspiring. I, too was celebrating the magic by singing out to Gods and Goddesses while on a trip recently to Turkey and Greece. The whole time I thought about how delightful it would be to be to share the experience with kindred spirits. Your retreat sounds amazing.
Off to read more of your blog.. Thank you for sharing your magical soul!
