Oh yea! This is good. I'm loving my life! Yesterday's classes on creating and keeping life changes was very insightful... learned all about brain anatomy and how we as humans make and create habits. Fascinating! While there was lots of scientific data provided, though, I think the transformational activities and "woo-woo" stuff still captured my fancy.
Things I especially loved:
~ Starting the day looking at our beautiful collages and activating our magnetic centers while listening to a Dali Lama chant audio... allowing the vibrational resonance of his healing intent penetrate our fields and activate us even further. Sweet! I SO love imagery.
~ Writing ourselves a letter from our future self where we advised ourselves in the present on how to achieve our desires and what life would be like later. I LOVE this activity. I actually regularly do it myself and the fact that she had the whole group do it felt really fun and neat. Yay for advice from our future selves!
One really transformational thing happened ... I realized I am a total over-achiever! MJ was talking to us and realized that many in the room "got off" on accomplishing goals to the max... and she started speaking about how the minds of over-achievers typically work. It was a deep revelation to see that most of us are so busy accomplishing tasks that we take very little time to celebrate and acknowledge our achievements! When we accomplish something, we just look for the next big mountain to climb! And often times, if we plan to climb 5 massive mountains and only do 4, we can label what we did a "failure"! She coached us through releasing our struggle with the essence of how we operate. After all, we have been doing it for so long, we are wired for it! So, in accepting ourselves and allowing our natural tendency to be pressure-prompted (i.e. work better under stress), etc, she suggested we simply create a new goal of celebrating achievement instead of achievement itself. That way, we wander through life seeking more opportunities to appreciate ourselves.
In this way, we start giving much more emphasis to reflection on past successes and recognition of the joyful journey rather than the destination. I found this all very validating. Pausing to reflect and truly inquire and accept how I move through the world feels good! I love myself and how I operate, and I am excited to learn how I can make the path even more fun. Interesting that almost all of what she was saying is right along the lines of the Abraham material and the Orin material about embracing yourself as a success right now... lots of dovetails.
As I basked in the tubs this morning looking out at the lavender sky over the horizon, I was filled with wonder and gratitude. As always, I have met so many amazing people here from such interesting backgrounds. People on parallel journeys of personal transformation and healing. Natural beauty everywhere! Soul nourishing food. Bright sunshine. Gorgeous mountains. Reflection. Elder trees. Magical butterflies and faeries. I had a massage from an angel named Rob who rocked my world... I love my life! Off to our last gathering for the day...
