Today as I sat on top of Tam mountain on a bench, I had a lovely view of the rolling hills covered with redwood trees and the wide blue expanse of the ocean beyond. It was truly a delight! I felt so blessed to be living so close to the trails and so close to my mom, who was sitting by my side. While we spoke, an amazing thing happened. A hummingbird soared high, high into the air - as high as a hawk would fly, and then it plummeted directly down at lightening speed. I pointed it out to mom but she somehow never saw it. It did a repeat performance twice. Such an unusual aerial display really caught my attention! I've never seen a hummingbird in antics like that. I realized that there may be a message in hummingbird medicine for me to consider. So this blog is devoted to the wonderous magic of these rapidly flying, magical beings...
Hummingbirds, I honor you!
I love your tireless dance of joy and seeking for the nectar of life!

BTW, the hummingbirds I've been seeing (on a TV commercial, but still!) have been that exact same color! Bright blue :) Almost purple. If you had taken that picture, holy crap :). You'd have a new career to manage!
