I've always used clothing as a way to express myself. Recently, I have experienced a significant shift in style. I've gone from wearing predominantly whites and bright colors to wearing browns, blacks, and reds. The styles and fabrics have changed too: from cottony stretch and casual to a more urban, stylized combinations of thicker fabrics, including dressier houndstooth, pinstripes, ruffley shirts and tribal dresses. My accessories have been changing too: more feather earrings and stylized gold and silver necklaces with symbolic shapes. I think this change has caught me by surprise more than anyone, but it has been called forth by something stronger than myself~ a cellular shift of frequency which is asking for me to be adorned in a more sophisticated way. Change is afoot! And I am being an expert allower, watching in fascination as I morph like a chameleon.
On an intuitive level, I feel I have been undergoing an initiation. A profound "growing up" from a youthful and innocent Persephone type figure to a seasoned and powerful woman: a priestess of the mysteries. I have spent some serious time in the "underworld" and have emerged wiser and brighter. I think I shunned black in the past because it was much easier to beam while wearing light. What I realize now is that the darker hues ask for a more powerful inner luminosity to emerge. At the same time, they evoke presence and poise. And the dressier styles create a delicious sense of strength and purpose~ a feeling of preparedness to bring my philosophies to a larger worldwide audience.
Clothing is such an amazing artform. Deliberately embracing a total change in style has activated some wonderful sensations inside me... I look forward to more adventures!
By the way, I can't tell you how many people ask me where I get my clothes! So below is a list of designers who adorn me which you can explore. Enjoy!

You are an inspiration, Christabel! Am looking forward to see more of your luminous self-expression... and you've invoked me to be more conscious of what I'm expressing for myself. Very nice -- thank you!
