One year ago I had a dream in which I had gathered the most inspirational women I knew into a collective called the Sisterhood of the White Dragon. In the dream, we shared ancient, sacred knowledges and initiations, activating spiritual awakening and ascension. This past February, a form of that vision manifested! 6 friends and I journeyed to Kauai with a shared intent of deepening our connection of the divine feminine. It was goddess-a-licious!
We rented a house on the north shore for a week. Our crew was composed of visionaries. Candice is a life-coach empowering those she works with to activate their inner light. Iris does Space Alchemy and Feng Shui, helping people to create homes and workplaces which activate expression of their highest potential. Jasmine is an adornment specialist, offerring clothing and jewelry to enhance and uplift. Serena is a sensuality expert, a role model and coach encouraging full sexual blossoming and expression. Ann is a writer, community leader and teacher of the Hoop Path. And me! Surrendering to my emerging path as a light activator, transformational event facilitator and channel.
Days were spent immersing ourselves into the lushness of the land. Everything was bright and sunsplashed ... sometimes covered by clouds and soaked by wild, warm rains. The weather itself was like a creature of delight~ full of surprises! Colors hummed at a high frequency of mystical penetration, activating emotions and insight. Flowers burst with delicious pinks, purples, reds and oranges. Fruits hung in abundance on tress lining roads, with football sized pomellos, papayas, and guavas~ edenic! Farmer's markets provided an even deeper sense of the exotic: fruits were shaped like sensual aliens with unexpected textures and flavors. Things that we buy in processed packages on the mainland, like noni juice, lay freshly plucked from trees and home brewed in small glass bottles ready for immediate consumption. I sensed that everything on the folding tables was nutrient dense, nourished by the essence of the island itself.
We activated our senses through jungle hikes. Sometimes we went to humming grottos, sometimes to waterfalls and ancient architecture. There was something about the dark red richness of the soil which felt vital. It had the same vibrancy of lifeblood and was thick and almost clay-like. Tapestries of roots provided climbing gyms up steep inclines and tangles of branches were fantastic handholds. Stone hopping on river hikes was equally yum. For me, all the rocks spread before me like a puzzle or pattern and then i allowed my intuitive self to guide me to fast jumps from surface to surface. I loved how lithe and catlike it felt. The rushing of cool water on legs immersed was soothing and cool.
We went to several waterfalls, by foot and by kayak. They felt like bathing portals to otherworldy dimensions. Legends surrounded each one and created a resonant field of expectation - by the time we swam in this one, our destiny was changed. That one would allow us to become "royal". Another granted wishes. There is something so primordially cleansing about pouring mountain fresh water and the transluscent bluegreen grottos they create... so inviting! We had lots of fun draping ourselves on rocks and posing for mermaid pictures, using sticks, grasses or fabrics to spontaneously style each other.
Days on end were spent in solar immersion on beaches, gleaming brightly with coconut lotions, potions and tanning oils. Coming from cold and rainy Portland and San Francisco, our bodies seemed to devour the sunshine. It felt like decadent skin dessert all day long! The more we lounged, the more our nervous systems relaxed, the more we let go. Bathing topless was an even sweeter treat and I browned up fast. When locals started asking me if I was local, I knew I was on track.
And of course, there was the ocean! How can convey her indescribable splendor? For the most part, she was nurturing, receptive, clear and welcoming. Her water contained salt crystals which clung to the body and dried to a fine white powder which felt cleansing and protective. I loved carrying her with me into the day, with sand in my hair sprinkling out at unexpected moments. But sometimes she was moody. She could even be bitchy, roiling and powerfully demanding with a wicked undercurrent. Always, she was mysterious.
I loved the stillness of the warm lagoon at Ke'e beach. It was often so calm it felt like being in a giant bathtub. The mystical soaring coastline overhead was enticing. Hanalei Bay was a go-to spot for us many times, though the waves were often labelled "unswimmable" by warning signs. Hideaways was otherworldly with a crystal clear view of the reefs and magical waters which asked for immersion. Anini beach was wonderfully shallow and still. Secret Beach was wildly chaotic and surging, amazing to lie upon, but she was firm about warning us against entry. Moloaa beach was my favorite ... deserted, quiet, crystal blue waters and with some calm portals which felt welcoming to sea devas. Kealia was our eastern island go-to. While the waves were bigger and the waters opaque, the sun always seemed to be bright and shining there.
I surrendered my body to the landscape as a student here to absorb the frequency of ripe femininity and glowing supernatural beauty. As the days progressed, I started to sense what I call, "downloads", or inspired flashes of insight. These felt profound and and delivered from a Source external to my consciousness. They arrived on all sorts of topics, from gemstone transmissions to mermaids. Always, there was a common theme of love and how to open up to absorb and transmit light.
We played with tools for transformation during our stay, like essential oils, elixers, gemstones and crystals from Mineral Amphoria, and lots of laughter (often inspired by the iphone app, Talking Carl). I frequented the gym and sauna and occassional yoga which quickened my senses and body as well. We shared meals, often from Papaya's by day and fish resturants by night. And of course, there was the constant undercurrent of conversations, journaling and reflections. Time was the common factor every day. There was lots of it, space to stretch out and just be.
Our stay culminated in a spectacular beachside self-marriage ceremony which was absolutely life-changing! It was clear that the Sisterhood of the White Dragon vision was real and that the time spent together in such a magical place created profound awakenings in all of us. We've decided to meet again regularly bi-annually! There is even talk of Peru in August. I'm hoping that some sisters who couldn't attend this one can join us for the next, specifically Theta Healer Dawn and Yogini, en-chantress Ann.
I stayed in Kauai 2 more weeks after this one, integrating and expanding my realizations further through beach time, playing with amazing island friends, especially Skylar and her lovely family and friends, Mia, Adove and Val and Paul. teaching performance priestesses though HoopGirl and finally meeting up with my love Kevin for the last few days. Hands-down, this was the most spectacular group journey of my adult life. I left the island feeling determined to transmit the frequencies I integrated with others and to create similar heart-opening retreat and chanelling experiences for others.
Stay tuned! Save the upcoming date of March 24! I will be doing a teleseminar on that evening from 6-7pm PST exploring these topics even further. You can call in from anywhere in the world and hear more about all of this. Information will be posted here shortly! And hold the dates of November 4-12. The first Goddess Evolution Project retreat in Kauai, the Mermaid Intensive, will happen sometime in that window of time!
